"Redbud" by Larry Dyke Size: 32”x 41” At 170 Yards this wonderful par 3 has been the turning point of many Championships. In the sixties it was Palmer holing a long chip shot for a two. In the seventies it was Jack Nicklaus holing a 50+ foot uphill putt for a birdie. He did not look the part of a bear as he got 4 feet of air as the putt banged the back of cup and dropped in. In 1986, Nicklaus again birdied 16 on his way to his 6th green jacket. It was Crenshaw’s two on 16 that propelled him to his second Master’s in the early 90’s.
